Starting just outside of Mesquite, Nevada, the route begins by guiding drivers through a large pipe tunnel underneath the highway before climbing onto a scenic mesa. The terrain along this stretch changes frequently, alternating between deep sand tracks and rocky sections that require careful tire placement. Drivers will navigate a steady climb with elevations ranging from 1,905 feet to a peak of 2,592 feet, accumulating over 1,000 feet of total elevation gain along the way. A technical rating of 4 reflects the trail's varying terrain, steep grades, and mixed surfaces, making high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicles or capable SxSs highly recommended. Upon reaching the Three Corners monument, offroaders can access a vast network of nearby desert trails to extend their trip into a full-day adventure. To complete the loop, the trail heads through a gate toward Beaver Dam and Littlefield, Arizona, where travelers can take a refreshing break at the popular Little Jamaica natural spring before returning via Route 91 to the starting point in Mesquite.
