Trail Overview

When you arrive at Three Corners you can simultaneously stand in Arizona, Utah and Nevada. Departing just outside of Mesquite, NV, the trail takes you through a large pipe tunnel under the highway and up a large mesa. The terrain varies with sections of trail being very rocky and other sections being very sandy. Once at Three Corners, there are numerous other trails that can be combined for a truly enjoyable all-day adventure in the desert. Otherwise, head through the gate and make your way back to Beaver Dam/Littlefield. Stop at Little Jamaica for a dip in a spring, or take Route 91 back to the starting point in Mesquite.

We started the route from a different point. (Old Mormon wagon trail) Once we were on the three corners trail it got slow and rough but doable. There are a few areas with big rocks and some tight turn but we are new to trails and got through the navigating correct lines easily enough. If you continue on to the tunnels be cautious of the driving level that area requires. We ended up turning around after the tunnels and coming back to the little field turn off this time. Overall a long slow day but great ride.

Trail was a blast with a lot of little off shoots to make it more of a challenge or take an easier line. I’d say the trail is more of a 3 when we were on it being dry and solid packed with not much traffic having been on it but I can see how it could be a 5 with some rain or if some of the sandy sections were deeper. Definitely worth taking a few hours and playing around.

Loose rocks, washboard, sand, steep inclines and descent. I would say not a beginner trail but would recommend if you want a little strategic obstacles.
