Following the boundary of a fenced area, the route winds through open grasslands, where strong winds are common, and the risk of fire is high, especially from sparks. Despite the rugged conditions, the trail offers breathtaking panoramic views, making it a rewarding journey for those seeking solitude and scenic landscapes. The trail may offer a few basic dispersed campsites but lacks amenities such as trash disposal and water supply, and there is limited cell service.
