SS1170 - Part B

SS1170 was originally a loop trail; however they can no longer be run as a loop. Only 2 sections have access from the north side of the train tracks, and you can only access them from SS1169. Over the track, access has been removed by the Union Pacific Railroad, and erosion has removed access under the 1 underpass. This section is a wide, two-track trail with a couple of overgrown sections. It is a natural desert landscape surrounded by desert creosote and mesquite trees. Winds east across the desert around the hills. Few wash crossings; nothing technical; no obstacles found, but a few steep hills to climb. Could become impassable in wet conditions. This section ends at a corral with a gate but no way across the tracks
