Trail Overview

This is a short high-clearance primitive road that starts off of North New River Road and connects to Shoemaker Spring. It's uneven and bumpy, with deep ruts that are filled in with round softball-sized rocks. Loose rocks are strewn about the trail for much of it. It's mostly flat in a green desert full of tall saguaro, crossing big dips across the road with washouts and ruts straight down the trail that you have to watch out for. In addition to being pretty rocky, it's also pretty narrow in spots, which would make this tough for a full-sized vehicle. There are tons of cholla and bushes closely lining the trail you have to watch out for, too. It has some tighter curves, a section that gets slightly steeper and narrower, and ravine crossings. Overall, it's just a slow bumpy road since it's so rocky, but doesn't have any specific obstacles or ledges.

Took this trail from New River Rd. Not too difficult. Very narrow in spots. My gladiator took some pin stripes along the way. Fun 1 1/2 trip
