Roger's Tribute

Roger's Tribute is a challenging 8.6-mile point-to-point trail in the Standard Wash OHV area that is ideal for experienced offroaders seeking a mix of roller-coaster two-tracks and tight canyon navigation. Starting directly off Highway 95 south of Lake Havasu City, this route climbs from an elevation of 1,003 feet to a peak of 2,284 feet, winding through scenic desert terrain. The track features a series of steep climbs and descents with gradients reaching up to 26 degrees, presenting a technical rating of 6. Drivers will encounter a variety of unpaved surfaces including loose dirt, gravel, and rocky washes that demand a capable high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicle. The most demanding segment of this trail lies within a very narrow mountain canyon, where tight S-turns require careful tire placement and spotting. While four-door Jeeps can successfully squeeze through, the tight squeeze presents a real risk of body damage, making the trail better suited for shorter-wheelbase rigs, SxSs, or highly skilled drivers. High-clearance four-wheel-drive is highly recommended to clear the technical rocky obstacles scattered throughout the canyon floor. Since the trail is located in the arid Mojave Desert, the best time to visit is from fall to spring when temperatures are mild, as summer heat can be extreme and dangerous.
