Trail Overview

Prospectors is an intermediate ATV trail in the Green Gulch trail system near Prescott, Arizona, that has sections of steep uphills and downhills that are full of loose rock and dirt, with some off-camber sections and washouts. It is slightly easier than Salida and Nemo Spring since it is less steep with fewer sections of rocks. The trail climbs up from the intersection with Salida Connection with some rocky climbs and goes through a barbed wire gate to get to the intersection with the Red Mountain single track. After this intersection, it continues along the ridgeline before dropping down into some pine trees and a big, loose, rocky climb. It goes past a couple of dried-up ponds and ends at the intersection with Salida.

Access Description

The Green Gulch Blue Hills Trail System is a small trail system south of Prescott Valley, Arizona, made up of several ATV trails and a couple of single tracks in a high desert terrain that can be hot even in early fall. There is a large dirt parking lot accessed at the end of Newtown Avenue, at the east entrance to the Charcoal Gulch Trail, and a small parking area at the west entrance to the Salida Connection Trail. All of the trails here are an intermediate challenge due to being in a very loose rocky terrain.
