Prairie Train Trail

The Prairie Train Trail begins off of Prairie Road, in the mixed pine of the Kaibab National Forest. This single wide, mostly mud and dirt trail, weaves in and out of the trees to the open prairie. Sporadic rocky sections exist on the first part of the trail, and then it becomes constant when you run along the tracks. There is a cool rail bridge to go under, and a couple of gates that advise to remain closed along this route. There are no obstacles on this trail other than a few sneaky rocks hiding in the undergrowth, so caution is urged for the driver. A great cut-through trail, you'll see evidence of coyotes, deer, and antelope, as well as other smaller animals. The trail terminates at an open pit mine.
