Trail Overview

Prairie Slide is a nice jaunt across the prairie of the Kaibab National Forest outside of Prescott, AZ. On this ride, you'll cross beautiful grassland and wildflower blooms (provided there has been enough rain) and through sporadic mixed pine and juniper trees. A beautiful habitat, it's home to antelope, deer, and coyote, as well as other smaller animals. Open and spacious, there's plenty of room for camping, picnicking, or just relaxing as you get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are no obstacles on this trail, other than the occasional erosion and wash crossing, and sporadic sections of rock.

A lot of this trail is truly “the road less traveled!” There are parts of the trail that Mother Nature has basically reclaimed. Be on the lookout for hidden rocks. Nice trail, though!
