Trail Overview

Palm Loop begins at China Dam / Tule Homestead along Cow Creek Road, starting along a scenic ridge line. The trail is mostly a gravel road with no major obstacles, gradually descending toward the wash below, but it doesn’t go into the wash. As you approach the wash, keep an eye down below—you’ll spot a large, full, standalone windmill palm tree standing out above the wash. Here, the trail turns left and runs parallel to the wash. Campsites in the area. After passing the first palm, you’ll need 4WD to climb a hill that takes you back up to the next ridge line. Just before you turn left to go up, you can see the second stand-alone Palm; it's much larger, but just as isolated. Definitely catches your eye as different. From there, turn left at the palm to complete the loop, which leads you back out to Cow Creek Road.

Fun loop to drive with some small challenges. Trial is over grown and seems less traveled. Has nice over head view of wash
