North Castle Singletrack

This is a 4.6-mile-long single-track that zig zags through rugged desert mountains on BLM land northwest of Phoenix, Arizona. It's part of a bigger trail system full of techy single-tracks and ATV trails. The north end starts out in the rolling hills covered in cholla cactus and tall saguaros. It dips in and out of a rocky ravine, with a rocky climb back out on a rock face. The trail is constantly climbing up and back down the rugged mountains, with steep climbs and descents. They are loose and rutted, with foot-deep ruts at times. There are a few rock ledges throughout the route as well, generally only a foot tall, but embedded into the trail within the steep climbs, or on a narrow section of trail as it side hills around the hills. It's got great views of the mountains throughout the route, and it ends on another dirt trail that you can take back to North Castle Hot Springs Road.
