Trail Overview
The Morning Star Mine Trail is a rugged mining road that leads you up to the historic Morning Star Mine. This narrow route is rocky and offers a series of rocky uphill climbs, made up of loose rock, testing your off-roading skills. As you drive, you'll pass through a canyon section with dramatic views and washouts that add some challenge. The trail is marked by erosion and ledges, making it a 4 difficulty trail. Be prepared for a bit of a workout, as navigating these obstacles requires both focus and skill. Whether you're after a challenge or interested in exploring mining history, this trail has plenty to offer for the seasoned off-roader.

Difficulty
This is an unmaintained rocky trail with ditches, washcrossings, and a short, narrow canyon section. The way through on the Bellmont/Vulture Mine Road was not attempted due to washouts and off-camber sections that leaned downhill and to precarious to attempt while mapping alone. Caution is urged. There is little cell service in the area, so offline maps are recommended.
