Trail Overview
Morgan City Wash Trail is a narrow gravel wash packed with overgrown vegetation and plenty of rocks to navigate over, around, and through. The trail tightens as you progress, and the rock obstacles become larger and more technical. Pinstripes are likely, so pick your lines carefully. Having a spotter is highly recommended. Near the end, you’ll need to work around two large rocks. Long-wheelbase rigs will have a tougher time here, but it is doable with careful placement or rock sliders. Beyond this point, the trail gets extremely tight. Short-wheelbase vehicles or dirt bikes may be able to squeeze through, but most drivers will need to back out to a wider section and perform a multi-point (about a four-point) turn to exit.
Difficulty
This trail begins easy with small rocks to navigate but becomes more technical farther in with several rock obstacles, including two larger rocks that must be maneuvered around. The route eventually reaches a dead end, requiring vehicles to back out and turn around. Rocks up to about 18 inches may be encountered depending on recent rain events.
