Mine Shaft Wash

This trail starts off as an easy-going trail with a few small ruts. There will be a gate you must open and close behind you as you travel the first section of the trail. The trail will continue on a laid-back path until you pass a few juniper trees as the trail starts to traverse downhill. You will get a great view while descending towards an old mining operation that is marked by a blue tailings pile. The trail will pass right by an abandoned mine shaft that is fenced off. From there, the trail gets faint, narrow, and extremely steep. Use caution if you are in a full-sized 4x4; some areas are extremely narrow. This downhill descent is steep, rutted, and loose rocks are all around. After you climb down this section, the trail follows a dry wash and ends at a dried-up cattle tank.
