Trail Overview
M0775 "The Wash" begins its journey off the main gas line road, launching you into a wide wash adorned with densely packed sand, perfect for an initial smooth ride. As you navigate this fascinating terrain, the trail twists its way upward toward the foothills. Keep your eyes peeled for those sneaky rocks that may be hidden beneath the sandy surface--an unexpected surprise that could challenge your driving skills! As you continue your ascent through the wash, you'll encounter tighter spots where paint damage is a definite possibility. The rocky landscape becomes more pronounced as the wash narrows, revealing boulders and rocks that can complicate your path, especially after heavy rains when the terrain can shift and expose larger obstacles previously hidden beneath the sand. Exiting the wash, the trail narrows dramatically, running closely along a barbed wire fence. This section features a tight squeeze between the barbed wire fence and large rocks, making it ill-suited for full-size rigs. Caution is advised! Keep an eye out for additional rock piles and off-camber hills that take you in and out of the wash, ultimately leading to the intersection with the M0777 trail. Important Note: Be aware that cellular service is virtually nonexistent throughout most of the trail, with only a small section near the end providing some coverage. Download your offline maps before your adventure begins. Remember to bring plenty of water and other supplies, as desert conditions can be unpredictable and challenging. Enjoy your ride through this dynamic wash!
Difficulty
The rating is primarily influenced by the few rock piles near the end and the off-camber section that drops into the wash, requiring careful navigation. A super narrow squeeze near the trail's end is between a large boulder and a rusty barbed wire fence.
