Jackrabbit Way

Jackrabbit Way is a relatively easy trail, with no major obstacles over 12 inches. There are numerous wash crossings, though, as well as many workarounds for the washouts and erosion along the trail. Along the way, you'll most likely see many jackrabbits, as well as several species of cactus. There is some cell service along this trail (2 bars, Verizon) but since it is relatively remote, offline maps are recommended. This route is on Arizona State Trust Land. This land requires a yearly permit that can be purchased and printed online. The permits allow certain recreational activities, including camping, bicycling, bird watching, GPS-based recreational activities (geocaching), hiking, horseback riding, off-highway vehicle (OHV) usage, photography, picnicking, and sightseeing.
