Trail Overview

The Homestead Loop covers serene trails starting in Arizona and a brief pass through New Mexico before returning to State 48. Flanked by tall trees and grassy fields, the route is smooth with some sections that may require high clearance 4WD, depending on the season and road conditions. There are two main water features in the loop, with the larger located adjacent to the key point of interest: an abandoned homestead. The area is active with wildlife, including Mule Deer, Elk, and Cattle. Expect limited-to-no cellular service;however, a strong signal if using Starlink. Regularly check weather conditions as rainfall is common throughout all seasons.
