Between FR 4104 and Gardner Canyon, the trail is significantly more deteriorated at certain points. Grades become significantly steeper with a lot of loose rock. We were able to crawl up the grades with without lockers, but there was some tire slippage even aired down to 18 PSI. High clearance was a necessity in certain areas as the rocks were abundant. There is a dramatic difference in difficulty between Gardner Canyon and the beginning of FR 4104.
