Trail Overview

The High Road is a great route to add to a trip out to Chiva Falls. The trail goes around the falls and crosses the creek that feeds the falls. The trail is mostly a mix of dirt and solid rock with some short climbs or drops depending on direction. It's slow going, bumpy, and rocky, and will need good clearance, but unlikely to need lockers. If you get there via Three Feathers, this trail is easier and fun... though you'll still bang your undercarriage, it's absolutely worth it. If it has rained recently, the creek can be full of step pools and is a great spot to explore if you get the chance. Took us about 45 minutes in 4Lo with a few stops to take photos.
