Trail Overview

This 6.5-mile point-to-point trail goes from the Hualapai Wash in the Lake Mead National Recreation area, over the Grand Wash Cliffs, and into Meadview. Stop at the old Golden Gate Mine at 3.1 miles into the trail. There you will find many remnants of the closed mine. The trail is passable by most 4WD vehicles, and there are no big obstacles. There is a short, steep hill with loose gravel and small rocks.

Trail seems to have changed since first assessment, because it is no longer a 3 rated easy trail. Once you start up into the mountain you proceed in a wash that is rough with large rocks/obstacles that can be technical and is slow going. Up at the waterfall it gets even more difficult with very large rocks. I would say the trail is at least a 5+ trail now. High clearance and skid plates are advisable. Just a heads up to plan accordingly. 😎

The trail isn't horrible most of the way, but definitely not a green! Very big rocks in section above small waterfall. Extremely hard to navigate on a dirt bike. Would not do again!
