This one-lane trail features mud ruts, puddles, water damage, and erosion. Sections of this trail are rocky, with some of the rock gardens featuring larger rocks that might damage the undercarriage of lower-clearance vehicles. There is some camping along this trail, with sites being scattered and sporadic with primitive fire rings, if at all. If considering a campfire, please consult county regulations as this area is prone to large and uncontrollable wildfires. This section of the Coconino National Forest is popular with hunters, so don't be surprised to see people wandering about the forest in the towering Ponderosa Pine trees that shelter deer and elk alike. There are no major obstacles along this trail, and cell service is spotty, so it's best to have offline maps downloaded for your convenience as there are many side trails and offshoots and navigating might become confusing.
