Trail Overview

Forest Service Road 9383J is just short of a mile long and was mapped from west to east. This route begins as an easy-going trail with a primarily dirt surface and scattered small loose rocks. As you continue east, trees begin to crowd the sides of the trail, creating several narrow sections with low overhead clearance. Numerous fallen branches and sticks line the route, so careful tire placement is recommended to help avoid punctures. Near the eastern end of the trail, the forest opens into a beautiful grove of large ponderosa pines with scenic views overlooking the small canyon below.
