Trail Overview

This trail starts off as a laid-back dirt road but quickly turns rocky as you pass over a dry wash. As you pass the dry wash, the trail begins its first climb. This first hill climb consists of an uneven rocky surface with loose rocks covering the trail. There is a rut that follows this first hill climb up on the trail's surface. After the first hill climb, the trail remains fairly rocky as you approach the second climb. This part of the trail is the final steep climb before you get to the top of the mountain. This section of trail has a very steep grade and stretches just over half a mile long. This final climb has loose rocks covering the trail's surface. Use caution when ascending or descending this hill for traction as it could be an issue. As you continue over the mountain and onto more even ground, the trail will continue to stay rocky with loose rocks and rock gardens consistently peppering the trail. The rocky surface will stay constant until the last few hundred yards from the junction with Forest Road 214. After completing this trail, you will have climbed just shy of 2,000 feet in elevation.
