Trail Overview

This trail begins with a steady climb, gaining elevation as it winds through the forest. The surface is slightly rocky with some ruts and mild off-camber washouts, and the grade increases as you work your way up the ridge. It remains fairly narrow throughout, more of a true two-track, but offers a beautiful drive heading toward the Red Rock–Secret Mountain Wilderness area. Along the way, you’ll encounter a few older downed trees with well-established drive-arounds. The trail eventually levels out into a more open, flat section of forest before dead-ending at a fence, preventing drivable access farther toward the wilderness boundary.

Difficulty

This trail is rated 3/10 due to the rocky sections, ruts, and off-camber washouts combined with the narrow corridor. While not highly technical, drivers should be comfortable with uneven terrain and tighter two-track conditions.
