Trail Overview

FS 263P starts off FS 282 and is a connector trail to Highway 61. A wide gravel two-track trail that winds through a burned but cleared area. Lots of Aspens and a few pines remain. This section is a forest of young aspens. An easy trail offering a connection point into the Forest trail network. Few ruts and areas that hold water, creating mud holes; low-clearance vehicles should use caution, especially during and after rain. 2WD accessible. Some sections narrow with heavy aspen groves. At the top of the hill, it widens and opens to valley views and then ends at the Warm Fire Restoration trail at the top. Watch for livestock on the trail. This area is part of a reforestation project.
