Trail Overview

Forest Road 22 is an easy-going trail that traverses the southern arm of the Big Bug Mesa. The trail's surface looks to have been covered recently with a road base, making it a maintained gravel road the entire way. There are many camping spots along this trail. There are several large bumps on the road, so do not drive too fast. The end of this trail is a turnaround that offers a very nice panoramic view of the surrounding areas to the South. If you are lucky, you might see turkeys and deer while traveling on this trail.
