Trail Overview
This trail starts at Levee Road and connects to EC1177, beginning in a large sandy wash. A quarter mile in, it exits the wash on a steep incline and winds its way through a very deep sandy area filled with lots of brush and trees. You'll encounter some steep inclines into and out of small washes as the route navigates the challenging sandy terrain. The combination of deep sand and vegetation creates a technical environment that demands skill and the right equipment. This trail is part of the Arizona State Trust Land.
Difficulty
The very deep sandy areas are the main challenge here, requiring good tires and four wheel drive, which are highly recommended. Airing down is essential for maintaining traction and momentum. The steep incline exiting the wash at a quarter mile in sets the tone, and the subsequent steep inclines into and out of small washes require careful throttle control and line choice. The brush and trees add navigation challenges in the deep sand.
