East Rim Ridge Trail

The East Rim Ridge Trail is a beautiful wide washboard dirt road that meanders through a very dense old-growth forest of Aspen, Ponderosa, and Pinon Pine trees. With stunning views, campsites, and many spur trails, this road is one of the hidden gems near one of our most popular National Parks. At its terminus, there is a large turn-around and a small secluded campsite nestled in the forest. Along the route, you'll find a large parking lot and pit toilets servicing the Arizona National Scenic Trail. But the real story here is the trail itself...the incredible views, rolling hills, wind whistling through the trees, and birds playfully chirping and singing; this trail will have you refreshed in no time.
