Trail Overview

Dutchman Wash is a really fun and scenic single track that runs north to south in the Arizona Strip for 2 miles. The north end starts as a narrow dirt single track that goes easy through the desert before it dips into a smooth gravelly wash. You have to watch out for bigger loose rocks in the wash that you can ping off of and sudden G-outs as it dips into ravines, but it's overall a pretty easy trail. The scenery is really unique, as it rides right next to lava rock and underneath the towering canyon walls of the surrounding mesas. Sometimes it has a rockier surface, and it's lined with lots of bushes that'll whip you. The terrain is very green and different from some of the other trails in the area that go through the red desert hills. This trail has less whoops, so it maybe doesn't get ridden as much. The south end ends at a wider wash track.
