Trail Overview
This trail starts in the hilltops on the east end and descends down to the desert floor. It is a bit more primitive at times, where it doesn’t look as ridden and has fewer tracks, but is still beaten in enough to follow. It rides between towering saguaros and cholla cactus, with great views of the surrounding rugged desert mountains, and down towards Salome, Arizona. It makes a couple of turns that are easy to miss, so a map is helpful here. After descending off of the hilltop, it continues as a very flat trail on a packed rocky surface on the valley floor that is very easy, but has several dips across ravines that can be sudden. The trail eventually connects to a more major dirt road. This trail is entirely unmarked and lacks any signs for width designations.
Difficulty
This trail is very easy, but it is a bit more primitive. It has a few steep and loose hill climbs in the eastern half, but the western half is very flat and even easier.
