Trail Overview

Bc1113 is a wide and easy wash trail that stays in the sandy Government Spring Wash for almost 2 miles. The wash is 30 feet wide at times, lined with big paloverde and mesquite trees. It gets narrower at times and is lined with tall dirt bluffs. The sand is smooth and easy, with hardly any rocks and no obstacles. About halfway through, though, there’s a fence, so you have to turn west and continue on the “Antelope Alternate” route for a few hundred yards to bypass the fence. This detour is just a short segment of an easy road before you can turn back down into the wash. There’s some irrigation tubing running through the wash on the northern half of the route that runs along the side of the trail, with posts sticking out that you want to watch out for.
