Trail Overview

This section of the AZPT cuts from the main road near the Wayside Oasis RV resort toward the Trailhead for the Tres Amigos Waterfall. The trail features some long rhythm sections with steep elevation changes and unexpected sharp corners. The trail passes through vast forests of Joshua trees and a long section of a sandy wash. There are some old abandoned structures along the route, but they are marked with private property signs. Cell service is spotty at best, 2 bars LTE in and out.

Long Sandy Wash sections, Steep hill climbs and sudden drop-offs on the other side of hill climbs.

As the description says lots of steep ups and downs, many are very close together making it challenging for stock full size trucks. There are also two longer extremely steep uphills that would be challenging for low power vehicles.
