Trail Overview

This trail starts at a gate off of North Castle Hot Springs Road and heads into the rugged desert mountains. The south end starts as a wide trail that is a mix of dirt and small loose rocks, with big ruts dipping in and out of rocky washes. It goes into a narrow wash that is gravelly with some embedded rock surfaces that you must ride over. The wash is tight between the bushes, and you have to dodge a few boulders, but it's mostly flat with no big ledges. The wash has some big curves and requires some navigating when the wash splits at unmarked intersections. The very north end of the trail gets a bit rockier with bigger rocks in the wash and has fewer tracks as it looks like most riders turn onto 32019. This trail goes through Arizona State Trust Land, which requires a permit for recreation, which can be obtained online.
