Trail Overview

Trail 38116 enters from the wash. You follow the trail through some overgrown vegetation. The surface is mostly rock and dirt, with only a few rocks under 12 inches. Along the way, you’ll find a hidden campsite tucked off the trail. There is a large rock located in the middle of the trail, but there is plenty of room to go around it if desired. The trail follows the canyon and eventually reaches an intersection where OnX shows the route continuing as a figure-8 loop. However, the trail sign indicates 9066 straight ahead or 9063A to the right. The canyon features beautiful rock walls and a wide wash track, with crushed rock sections throughout. Some areas have overgrown branches, so expect a few pinstripes. The rock obstacle is avoidable. High clearance is recommended, and the trail could become impassable after rain.
