Access Description

Forest Road 009402D is located within the Prescott National Forest and does not require special permits or fees for standard off-road use. However, the route is not maintained during the winter, and travel is discouraged when wet to prevent trail damage and ruts. Dispersed camping is allowed only in the large open area at the trailhead entrance, which is suitable for RVs, and is prohibited further along the spur. The trail ends at a closed gate bordering a hiking trail, where space to turn around is very limited.
