Trail Overview

The Knik Glacier Trail is a system that offers a wide variety of pathways to take to get back to the Glacier. This ride has lots of photo opportunities. It's a great weekend ride due to it being 25 minutes from Wasilla and an hour from Anchorage. Go out and have some fun!

Difficulty

This ride has some very deep water crossings. Make sure you walk before you cross and go with people that can help you recover if you get stuck.

Well packed along the main trail. Areas that normally require high clearance are filled with hard packed snow and ice. Our group included a Subaru Outback that made it to the glacier with no issues

First time ever going out. Rode with a buddy doing photography of the rigs out there, some water crossings as not everything is frozen yet, was super foggy but was overall great day!

Trail was great. Was our first time riding to the glacier. Strongly recommend going with someone who knows the area as we took a few wrong turns and it costed us a lot of time!
