Trail Overview

This Jeep-inspired trail, like many others on this side of the mountain, is created tough for a reason - to give you a great offroad experience. Rubicon is one that can live up to the name, as the trail is relentless, yet still able to be completed in a well-designed stock rig. The characteristic that stands out the most is the soil. You will look at some of the obstacles, and think it is not that tough, then be sitting in the same spot 30 minutes later! The dirt here is very unique in that it is slick like clay, but clears your tread easier. This soil type is also completely different, one mountain ridge over, but it is consistent with the other trails on this mountain. To make things even more difficult, this trail is littered with loose slick rock with matching rock shelves, and a pinching V-notch at the top.

Difficulty

The obstacles on this trail are deceiving as they are not very tall, but the steep incline with slick rock and mud underneath make it a very difficult blue trail. With time, these rock formations will be exposed more and become more difficult. It is recommended to hit this trail during a dry spell.
