Trail Overview

Brocato's Boulders is a suitable name for this rocky track at NWALMP. This trail starts off mild as you drop into the canyon, and as you get to the bottom, you find the slippery nutrient-dense soil and slick limestone rock combination that will have you questioning if you should have attempted it in the first place. From here, you must climb your way up the small ledges and large boulders that will put up a fight for even the largest of tires. In the third section, you will have to maneuver around the canyon bottom rocks and logs to traverse back up the mountain with more slick ledges.

Difficulty

Most boulders are at least 40 inches in height, but no larger than 5 feet, which settles this trail in a firm 7 for the technical side. Pairing with the soil composition, the difficulty goes up.
