Trail Overview

Turning off Highway 4 towards the south, across from the KOA Campground, the road starts as a roughly 1.5-lane gravel road that is mostly maintained. Keep on this road for the entire way to the beach. Along the way, it passes through some farmland and eventually narrows into a 1 lane gravel track with some muddy or wet spots depending on the weather. At the end, there is a small spot for a few vehicles to park, with a climb over a dyke to get to the beach. It is recommended to take this path slowly, to minimize dust, as well as for safety due to the farms bordering the way.

Difficulty

About half of the way is a usually maintained gravel road, although it does have some deep ruts in places. The half towards the beach is not as well-maintained and has some mud and deeper holes to get through that low vehicles may not handle well.
