Shuswap River

Shuswap River Road is an easy, scenic dirt and gravel drive running parallel to the Shuswap River north of Cherryville, British Columbia. Spanning 7.2 miles, the route features gentle grades and minimal elevation changes, making it accessible to standard two-wheel-drive vehicles during dry conditions. Pullouts along the road provide spots for shore fishing, picnicking, and enjoying riverside views. The route does not go through, dead-ending at a private ranch approximately 7.5 miles from the start where all vehicles must turn around. Much of the surrounding land is private property; trespassing, camping, and off-route exploring are prohibited. The drive is best enjoyed from late spring through autumn when the road is free of heavy snow.
