Kenyon Lake Trail

The last few hundred meters before lake is completely different than the first 10+km. Really need a nice off-road vehicle and also some off-road experience.

There is an old wooden damaged bridge that has gotten much worse and has huge holes in it. Not sure if it will be passable much longer. The main surface is gone so you have to drive with half your vehicle going over just the support beams. I put down traction boards to help cross it.

Trail is open and passible. Around Salsbury lake there are a couple of large sinkholes in the middle of the road; thankfully someone marked them so they are easy enough to avoid.

Nice trail up to the lake. Lost of loose rocks and moderate moguls. Big tires, a lift and high clearance bumpers are a must. Best done in a jeep as there are tight turns and the trail is narrow but I managed to make it up in my full sized truck with spotters.

Couldn’t get in as there is a fair size obstruction to the trail from the main road. There is room to get around for experienced people or with a spotter. As our vehicle is our only mode of transportation right now, I tried, got stuck for a moment and decided not to push it. Will come back with another truck and/or a spotter and am sure I could get around it.
