Trail Overview
Constitution is a relatively short but punchy trail. It is an out-and-back trail that leads to a rock bluff with epic panoramic views. The terrain is a mix of forest floor, rock slabs, and boulders. It is a very tight trail with trees on either side making careful maneuvering important to keep body damage at bay. Several technical off-camber obstacles and boulders will challenge even experienced wheelers. During the wetter months, there are several deep mud holes to navigate, and even in the summer, the combination of mud and rocky terrain provides its own challenge. Long-wheel base vehicles could make it to the halfway point which is next to Kalmia Lake. This is where old plane wreckage can also be found. Vehicles traveling past that point are in for even tighter and harder obstacles.
Difficulty
This trail combines off-camber obstacles with tightly lined trees that can easily lead to vehicle damage. The water/mud holes are very deep in the wetter months and the climbs out are steep. The surface of the trail is loose in several sections and large boulders taller than axle height can move unexpectedly.
