Trail Overview

This trail starts along a gravel road, navigating switchbacks and rocky sections as you go up to the Buchanan Fire Lookout Tower. The tower awaits atop the summit, offering breathtaking views of the valley below. Be cautious of other users on the road as some sections are narrow, also fallen trees and rocks are few in some sections.

Trail is possible with most stock SUV's or Trucks. If you are less than 8" of ground clearance you may need to make smart line choices on the final stretch to the summit. Extremely fun trail with minimal consequences and lot of scenic views. Try to avoid the bypass near the summit where there is a puddle on the road to avoid unnecessary damage to the environment.

A bit of snow at the top on June 25th. Took us 1h15m each way taking it nice and slow. Up to 10 to 13 degree inclines at some spots.
