Big Bay Recreation Site

This short trail winds through the thick coastal rainforest of Vancouver Island, ending at the Big Bay Recreation Site. The trail consists of a couple of well-maintained forest service roads. However, the roads can become extremely dusty during dry seasons, so drive with caution—especially if traveling in a convoy. The trail ends at the lake, where there are several campsites available, as well as a lovely beach for swimming, launching a boat, or fishing.
