Trail Overview

Ashton Mara East climbs quite quickly with some steep switchbacks. The road has some narrow areas and hugs the edge of the steep ridgeline with locations that have cliffs above you and steep drops on the downhill side. With Beautiful views along the route, it is worth exploring but be careful and watch the road. Indications of road failure with surface cracking and settling of the road on the steep sections. Approximately 5 miles in there is a closure in place.
