Trail Overview

The Forestry Trunk Road is a well-established gravel road that was built to support the oil and gas as well as the forestry industries. This route has opened up the region for hunting, fishing, and all kinds of outdoor recreation. The mainline can be a busy road with logging trucks and tankers however it is a wide road with minimal issues with oncoming traffic. Watch out and slow down on some of the blind corners as the speed limit is 80km an hour for much of this route. There are some rough spots at times but they do get maintained then there are active logging or well sites. The spur roads and locations to explore are limitless along this route with many designated and crown land camping along the many lakes and rivers.

fairly smooth, not to rough but lots of hauling of logs and equipment going on so be mindful of speed and watch around the sharp corners, if equipped with a radio tune into ladd 2 before Blackstone bridge and Sundance(rx is posted on yellow sign right after bridge) after the Blackstone if heading north bound
