This route is a great detour to take, The route is a gravel/dirt road that will take you from Kananaskis Lakes to Canmore, on this route you will pass Old Goat Glacier, Spray Lake and the Cougar Creek Dam. This trail is maintained but expects sections of ruts and loose gravel. Expect a lot of snow in the winter.
