Trail Overview

This trail has a good mix of mud, dirt, ruts, and a technical forest section! You'll come across a few mud holes and ruts. Once you hit the pipeline site, you'll enter a tight technical forest with downed trees and skinny tree sections that will take some patience and a good eye to navigate through. This section will be best with a smaller vehicle like a Jeep, but with some skill, you can get through with a full-size! If you love technical trails this is the one for you.

Difficulty

This is a fairly tame trail with mud and ruts. The challenge comes once you enter the forest and find yourself winding through tight trees, mud, and around downed trees.

Driven in a Power Wagon, if a gravel road is a 1, this trail would be a 3. It’s narrow in a full-size, but not impossible to stay off the trees. Unfortunately, there’s a chance this area is supposed to be closed. I drove past the pipeline access then into the woods, and about 2/3rds of the way through the posted trail and found a locked gate across the cut line that people has made a trail around the fencing. Sign says area is a part of an “environmental services project” but doesn’t list dates or contact info. If I can find out more about it I’ll edit the report…

Trail isn’t that difficult isn’t really skinny I can see it being skinny in a full size pickup truck. Most difficult thing is the mud hole at the beginning of the trail. Has very greasy mud but has an easy by-pass. We made a video on it can watch it on Cars With Nash on YouTube.
