Ashland 124 is part of the regular trail and part of a dead end. It doesn't seem right on the map but in person, it flows. This is the connector between Trail 41 and Trail 125. Even though it turns and goes to a dead end. The end is very overgrown.

I would say that Ashland 41 is the main trail in this section. This is the longest trail in the section. It is one of the three fingers that work all the way out to the property line, please do not trespass. The trail is slightly brushy and rocky.

This is one of those somewhat wasted trails because it is a dead end on both sides and there really isn't any way to connect to anything else. So the best use of this trail is to turn around. The trail itself isn't difficult it just is a T intersection that just stops.

Ashland 123 is a unique trail. You will have to go up a blue hill climb to get to this trail. There is no other access. Once up to this trail it isn't a bad trail and is nice and wooded with neat rock outcropping to see along the trail.

This short trail starts with a slight uphill and then ends up as a very brushy trail with some slight hills all through it. Watch for small puddles, rocks, and other objects but the most dangerous part is just the possibility of face slappers. The trail is a nice bypass to the other section here.

Trail 95 is the main trail from the big coal road up to the real trail area. The bottom area is the parking area has a few trails but nothing major. To get to the main trail networks this is the trail that you need to take.

Ashland 96 is the main parking lot trail. It branches off of Trail 95 and has the widest and flattest areas to park your truck and trailers. As you go in the entrance road the first left turn is Trail 96 and has the parking area signs.

Ashland 118 A was originally connected to the other 118. When the mining area opened up they had to split this trail. So there are two parts one on each side of the mining. This section is a little rocky getting into the trail but the rest is easy.

This is a dead end that hopefully can be connected with 115 eventually. It is a smooth trail with small rocks that leads its way up to a dead-end circle. Watch for random branches and forest debris, but other than that, there aren't many obstacles.

Ashland 118 is a long trail across the northern edge of the southern tract of Ashland. This trail is partially timbered with some beautiful scenery and large Rhododendrons. There are small puddles, rocks, and branches to be cautious of but the rest of the trail is smooth.

This short trail looks like part of an old railroad bed. It is very beautiful with bare coal dirt on flat sections with huge areas of Rhododendron shadowing the trail. It connects a few trails to make for some nice alternate routes to mix things up with your exploration.

Ashland 132 is a nice wooded trail that goes across a few different types of scenery including woods and the powerline. There are plenty of puddles with small muddy sections and logs to make it fun. The one end of the trail has a technical hill that can be sketchy if not careful.
