Description
This trail features an easy warmup followed by a steep climb with some scrambling, but the views from the top are worth it. Route finding can be challenging at times. There are small cairns most of the way. The trailhead is in a sharp corner of 9-J Road. There is a pull-off to park in. Hike north for about 1.5 miles parallel to and west of the creek. Next, cross to the northeast through the woods. Start the steepening climb. Your target is just north of the saddle. As you gain the ridge, turn north and climb over the outcropping. Stay on or just west of the ridge crest for an easier climb, or scramble to the east for more adventure. Continue up to the summit, which will become visible. Return by the same path.
