This trail is part of the South Trail System along with the Openfield Trail and the Overlook Trail. Combined with the North Trail System, these trails make up the Horse/Bike trail system of the park. Take caution when approaching horses--always announce your presence and stop while the horse passes you.
This loop starts off of the Openfield Trail and traverses from the grassland environment into a stand of pleasant hardwoods.
